It was raining hard today. When I got to school, my jacket was all wet. I left school about 4 and went to outdoor pursuit center at rec to rent tents for next week. I saw a big canoe and I told the guy that I wanted that big canoe too. I tried to find two smaller kalyas instead of a canoe but the kalyas there was so big and heavy. Anyway, I rented two 9*10 5 people tents, two coolers, two 10 gals water tanks, and a canoe. I totally spent 60 dollars for all rentals. I think it will be enough for 7 of us.
I went to pick up Jennifer and Minnie. I said "what the heck?" in my mind when I saw them. They were dressing too nice for bbq at my place. They had heavy make up and mini skirts. They told me they were going to Science Spectrum later in the evening. (but still..... Well they are girls) We got together with Cathy, Yuko, and Taka at the Market street and we shopped for much food.
Everyone started to prepare for bbq when we got to my place. The girls prepared for the food and the guys (Taka and I) were setting up the grills. It took us quite a long time to set up the grills. By the time, we set up the grill everyone was so hungry and the sky was dark. We finished most of the food very quick. Jeff and Chris Dong came by to pick up Jennifer and Minnie. The rest of us kept eating the food.
After the clean up later, Jennifer and Minnie came back and we all went to a couple bars. My hand was full of paper bands. We had a fun time. I really like one song that a band was playing in a bar. It was so loud since we were sitting too close but the lyrics and the rhythm was so good that fits the environment so right. Minnie is a very good dancer. She moved her hips like a Taihian dancer. She is very good.

Diary: Sun-Glasses, Tripod, Soccer, & Nikon 24mm lens
I went to school as usual. About 2pm, I left my office. I saw Kumi outside at the library. She was wearing her sun-glasses. We talked a little bit. It was strange that she wore her sun-glasses. It looked like she wanted to hide her eyes balls to the others. Well, for me there are two reasons to wear sun-glasses. First, we drive. Second, we peek. Especially at the beaches. I forgot to ask her at that time. I will ask her why she wore her sun glasses when I see her next time.
I went to Amadillo camera to look for a very good tripod. I was going to spend $200 dollars for a very small and compact tripod. I was there playing with the tripods for about an hour. I was quite disappointed with the compact tripods. There are all good brands. Bogen , sunpak, or ..... (I forgot) . But there are either not very rigid nor very light. It is really a waste of money. So I did not buy tripod but I bought a air pump to clean my camera.
I went home and cleaned my camera. Most of the dusts are gone in the sensor but there is still a dot of dust inside but it is hardly see it in the pics except I shoot blue sky pics. When I went outside Linda and her babes (she baby-sit them) were also outside playing and enjoying the sun. I took them a couple shots and played ball with Mason for a little bit. I like Karla a lot she is so adorable and she never wear any slippers or sandals. Cona came to my place and played the Play Station 2 but he deleted the Alin's game record. He is always a trouble maker and mess up my life but I still love him.
I went to play soccer at 5:30pm. Only Alin and his girl-friend (?) , a guy (forgot his name), and Lisa shew up. At first I thought 4 vs 5 was mission impossible since my ankle is still in bad shape. But Alin was so good that we won the game for 7 to 4. It was a great victory. Lisa did a great job on blocking people. The other team has a girl Sally. She was so aggressive. She even kicked my right ankle again. I was in pain for a bit. Well, it is a game. There must be some hits and bounces. We talked a bit after the game and I went home.
Tonight I made a mistake on buying a lens on ebay. Ken shew me the nikon 24mm f2.8 on ebay. At first, I thought it was Ais so I bought it right away thinking that to sell mine old one (I am still using it and I have been abused it and it is very well used). After I paid the buyer, I found out the lens is not AIS. I just contacted the seller and hopefully I can get the $ back. If not it is still ok, I think it is still a great lens to compare with my 24 f2.8 AIS lens. Of course I believe my AIS is always better.

Diary: long day in school, Soccer, plane ticket, and Photos
I worked very hard in school today with the numerical analysis. Brian and Kiomi came to my office in the afternoon as usual. We worked out a couple questions. I know I want to speed this thing up so I can be ready for the prelim ASAP.
I also went to give my thesis to Dr. Ruygaart. He looked at it and said my thesis is like a disertation. It has too much info and too hard for master. He said some other professors who looked at my thesis felt the same way. For my thesis, I did spend much time to do before and I learnt so much from it. I know all these time and effort that I spent in my thesis is for my own good.
After I saw Dr Ruygaart, I started calling 5 different travel agents and asked about the price for the ticket from Lubbock TX to Japan and to Hong Kong. It is quite expensive. The cheapest one I got so far is 1335. If I leave on Tuesday and come back on Friday then I also have another $70 off from it but I really don't want to do it since I will have 3 days less in Hong Kong. It was very interesting that Yuko gave me an agent which has a very cute little operator answered the phone. Her English is so funny that I tried to imagined her face and height during the call plus she has very good voice. Too bad, she still can't move my heart to buy ticket from her. She quoted me $1445. Even though, the ticket is a bit high but I think it is still good since I am taking AA to Tokyo and also Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong. The trip will be very comfortable. I plan to travel on July 1st to Tokyo and then stay there till July 17th and then go to Hong Kong. It will be another long vacation.
Yuko told me Miyake is graduating today. I am very happy to get to know him and also happy for his success. His company is going to assign him somewhere around Tokyo. If he is staying very close by, Yuko and I will for sure visit him and we may have another trip together in Japan. (Yuko suggested to visit nikko. I looked at the pics there. It is amazing. I really want to visit there.)
I got a note from Irene. He told me that the soccer game is on tomorrow night at 5:30pm. Oh! my right ankle is still hurting. I can hardly walk straight. I really don't know how to help them in the game this time. But I will show up tomorrow for sure just let them to have enough people. B I also keep messaging my ankle the whole night and hopefully it will be well by tomorrow.
I finally posted most of the pics that I wanted to post tonight. I really like some of the pics that I took here in Lubbock. Well, I will keep taking more pics here in Lubbock and have a good memory of all things around me.
Tonight there was a hail storm. When I heard that I opened the front door and looked at my raddo and lexas. I felt bad for them to stay outside. I really want them to come in the home for rest. I hope they are still ok and without any dents. I HATE HAILING!!!! What kind of weather is it in Lubbock here?

Diary: Skipped class, clean up the bar, and car club
I woke up late so I decided to skip Dr. Martins' class. I stayed home to clean my room and also cleaned up the bar area. Of course, I turned on my Pilot amp to listen to music while I did all the work. It took me quite sometime to figure out the main switch to shut off electricity before I worked on the wires. I rewired the electricity for the bar. Now the indoor bbq grill has power but I still have to replace the heater element and then it will work. Indoor bbq is going to be fun. Btw, I saw Tyler today. He is growing.... He is taller now. Soon he will not be my little friend anymore. He will be taller than me very soon.
I went to car club later but I forgot to bring my camera to take group pics. Lucky, Corbett got his Cannon 300? camera with him. We took some pics then we went to Apple bee for dinner. This time there were only Sebatian, Mara, Corrbett and I went. I had a big cheese burger. The food in Apple bee is bad. I don't really like it. The burger is over cooked (Too dry). Tonight I got the chance to take a look at Corbett's Audi S4. The interior is so precise like all the other audi and his interior even a special version with blue velvet trims on the seats. His car is awesome. Sebetian told me that he broke one of his rim. So his bug uses one spare steel wheel. His bug is still damn fast (350hp). I had a hard time to catch up with him and Corbett S4 (400+hp). We also talked about to go to Mexico together sometime for fun. Mara was so excited about the Mexico trip. She said she hasn't been there for a long time. Me too! I am so excited since I have never been there. But there is a problem! I may get stuck there with my current visa and I will become a Mexican.........
