Oscar called me today in my office and we talked quite a little bit. It seems like everything fine for them. He bought a mansion in Nagoya and he says his income is quite stable. (Good! It means I will have good food in there). He mentioned one concept which I think I used to dream about before. After he talked about it, my mind now is still confused because that concept was my dream before. I really don't know if I can do it or not. I guess I have to take my time and see what I really want to do.
I was doing lots of calculation of NA with Brian ans Kiomi in my office. Brian did a couple questions and then he left. Kiomi and I did a whole 2005 Aug paper today. I was quite happy that the progress is going quick.
I went to library to pick up my thesis binding. I know it has been a long time since I got my master. I finally have the binding in my hand. Now I have a gift for Dr. Ruygaart.
Tonight we had a potluck at my place. Cathy, Karen, Kumi, Taka, and Yuko came to my place about 7. I made steamed fish which I have not made it for a long time since I sold my beloved lobster knife. I looked at the food and it did look enough so I also made some beef. Anyway, we had a great time to eat all the food. Yuko made a japanese pancake which I like the source for it a lot. Taka made rice but he put some furitake on it and made it quite delicous. Cathy bought soda, Kumi made "mapo" tofu which tastes ok. Karen made a bacon with vegetable which I think is healthy. I also took some of my kimchi out for them to try. Taka seemed like he liked it very much and he ate a lot. (That is good. I like friends love to eat my food). BTW, yuko brought her shochuu (japanese wine) here. (It was given to her from Goh San as a gift.) I love it. It tasted sweet to me and I asked her for refilling too. (hahaha) We had a fun time to eat and we played Scruples for a little bit then we watched "Thumb sucker" but after 10 mins no one liked it so we switched to "The fogotten". Everyone seemed to enjoy it especially for Taka. At one scene, he was so scared and yelled very loud. It was quite funny that he even yelled louder than the girls.
I like potluck. It is always fun and casual. I have not seemed Karen for a long time. I think last time I saw her was 1.5 years ago. I am glad that she is graduating and hope she will have a bright future.
